Maple Sugar Carrots

Ingredients

  • 8 carrots with tops, cut in half according to their size.
  • Handful of fresh sage leaves
  • Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple sugar
  • Salt (coarse salt like Fleur de Sel)

Method

  1. Brush the carrots with olive oil using a pastry brush. Place them in a baking dish and roast in the oven for about 20 minutes at 400 °F.
  2. When carrots are about 80% done, sprinkle maple sugar and sage and roast for another 6-7 minutes.
  3. Finish with a sprinkle of salt.
